I’m not doing it without carbs

Stress belly, sugar belly, dairy belly, Aunt Flow belly, sad belly, gluten free belly. I listen to her churn after I overeat. I pat her after a workout as if she isn’t the same as yesterday. I give her carbs to satisfy the 1st trimester lookalike growing from my mid-section. She shrinks in the morning, but by the end of the first meal, I have blossom belly.

When she empties, I give her carbs: sweet potatoes, Idaho potatoes, yams, sour dough bread, corn bread, and oatmeal. Not an exhaustive list, but bread is definitely at the top in the morning and yams for dinner. I’ve experimented with different combinations in an effort to help my stomach protrude less. But the only remedy has been movement and I can’t do that without carbs. And belly must go to not become diabetic belly which is the change I have been dodging for years. So here we go: bicycle belly, crunch belly, plank belly, Russian suicide belly, flutter kicks belly, and high knees belly. I feel the support more in my back the stronger I become and the straighter my legs are for my abs belly to dispense them into the air.

Swing those legs, belly, swing!
